These are some more photos that I have took for locations that we are using for our thriller or are considering using.
This is location was photographed in the last section, but this shows it more clearly and shows more of the location. The outside of the alleyway is a urban setting, with dull, boring colours used in the mise en scene.
These are the steps coming up from the path that we are using (see below). This gives the sense that the villain is coming up from hell to earth, like a devilish creature, to take someone back down with them (murder them).
This part of the path is just used for a close up of the characters feet walking so it doesn't matter if it contains the genre conventions of a thriller.
This is the path we are using to film the characters walking to the flat where the murder takes place. The path has a dirty, dark feel to it that installs fear into the audiene. It also feels away from the public, so no one could be able to hear if you got attack here adding more fear into the audience.
Do watch lighting, some of these shots of possible locations are too dark and are thus unreadable. If shots in your film are unreadable you will lose marks. Remember my advice about close ups and variety of camera angles and movement.
ReplyDeleteIf you make cross references to films you've researched then your marks will improve.
